RETURN POLICY (NOWDIRECT.COM)

General terms: nowdirect.com returns

All returns require an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number. An RMA can be obtained by using the "RMA request" form on our web site or contacting customer service.

All items returned to nowdirect.com must include the original packaging and accessories. To be specific, all original equipment, components, manuals, cables, documents and packaging must be returned with any item in order for us to complete the processing of your RMA. An item returned for replacement may be either repaired or replaced at our discretion. Products with specific refund and return policies and deadlines must be returned within the time periods specified for each item. Physically damaged items cannot be returned.

Removal or alteration of a product's serial number or serial number sticker will not be accepted and will be returned to the customer. Handling and shipping charges will apply to these returns.

Fourteen day return policy

Unless another return policy is indicated for a specific product or product line, products sold by nowdirect.com may be returned within 14 days of the original invoice date for a full refund provided a valid nowdirect.com RMA has been issued. Returns for replacement will be accepted within 60 days of the original invoice date provided the product is still available and a valid nowdirect.com RMA has been issued. All returns for credit must be complete, in original packaging and factory sealed. Returns for credit are subject to a 15% restocking fee.

Processors (CPUs) return policy

Unless another return policy is indicated, processors (CPU's) sold by nowdirect.com may be returned within 7 days of the original invoice date for a full refund provided a valid nowdirect.com RMA has been issued. Returns for replacement will be accepted within 30 days of the original invoice date provided the product is still available and a valid nowdirect.com RMA has been issued. All returns for credit must be complete, in original packaging and factory sealed. Returns for credit are subject to a 15% restocking fee.

Improper installation of CPU fans and/or improper clocking may cause CPUs to chip. CPUs that are chipped, burnt or have bent/broken pins are considered physically damaged and cannot be returned for refund or replacement.

Server, Desktop PC, Notebook, Handhelds and Tablet PC Return Policy

Servers, desktop PCs, notebooks, handhelds and tablet PCs are non-refundable. Any unit that is deemed defective may be returned for a replacement within 30 days of invoice. If a unit is returned for a replacement and no problems are found, the unit will be returned at the buyer's expense. Defective units returned for a replacement may be repaired or replaced at the discretion of nowdirect.com.

Manufacturer's Warranties

All products offered by nowdirect.com carry a warranty from the original manufacturer. Please check the exact terms of the manufacturers warranty prior to purchase. Some manufacturers require customers to return defective merchandise directly to them. If that's the case with a product you purchased from us, you will need to contact the manufacturer directly to exercise your returns rights under the original warranty.

LCD display return policy

Notebooks, LCDs and monitors that feature LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) screens are non refundable. Any unit that is deemed defective may be returned for a replacement within 30 days of invoice. If a unit is returned for a replacement and no problems are found, the unit will be returned at the buyer's expense. Defective units returned for a replacement may be repaired or replaced at the discretion of nowdirect.com.

Our dead-pixel mirrors the majority of our manufacturers. In order to declare any product with an LCD screen "defective" and eligible for replacement, there must be a minimum of 8 (eight) dead LCD pixels.

Memory modules, flash, thumb and USB devices return policy

Unless another return policy is indicated, these products may be returned within 14 days of the original invoice date for a full refund provided a valid nowdirect.com RMA has been issued. Returns for replacement will be accepted within 30 days of the original invoice date provided the product is still available and a valid nowdirect.com RMA has been issued. All returns for credit must be complete, in original packaging and factory sealed. Returns for credit are subject to a 15% restocking fee.

The following conditions are not acceptable for return, and will be returned to the customer. Shipping and handling charges will apply

  • Physically damaged items
  • Items that are missing the manufacturer label containing model number and part number
  • Items that are missing the manufacturer warranty label
  • Modules that include a manufacturer-applied heat spreader, but have had the heat spreader removed
  • "Kit" Modules (which contain 2 or more memory modules packaged together) that are not returned as a complete set
  • USB Drives, Thumb Drives, Flash Memory, or any related product that is returned without the cap or protective casing.

Defective returns policy

Defective returns will be accepted within 30 days shipment provided the customer obtains a valid RMA. At our discretion, we may repair or exchange the return. Any return found not to be defective will be subject to a 15% restocking fee plus any shipping and handling charges. The manufacturers warranty applies to merchandise found to be defective beyond 30 days of shipment. For this merchandise, contact the manufacturer directly.

Defective software products may be exchanged for same title only provided the customer obtains a valid RMA. Non-defective software that has been opened is not returnable under any circumstances.

Defective returns for reconditioned products will be accepted for repair or replacement (at our discretion) within 14 days from shipment date provided the customer obtains a valid RMA. No RMA's will be issued for defective reconditioned products beyond 14 days from shipment date unless returns privileges beyond 14 days were included in any warranty provided at the time of shipment.
